Lemonade Diet – A Healthy Cleanse

There are times whenever a diet is just a diet and it is simply a way for you to be able to lose weight but there are other times whenever a diet may extend far beyond that and be something that is good for our overall health.  A good example of this is the lemonade diet, typically referred to as the master cleanse.  This particular diet is not only going to be able to help you lose a lot of weight in a short period of time, it can snap your health back to where it should be if you have lost your way.

The first time that I experienced the lemonade diet, I was amazed with exactly how quickly it was able to take the weight off of me.  I did the diet for over the course of 10 days and during that time, I lost approximately 12 to 14 pounds.  The real surprise as far as the lemonade diet was concerned, however, did not come in the fact that I lost weight.  It gave me was mental clarity and a feeling of goodwill that I have not had in many years.  In itself, this was enough for me to do the lemonade diet and I felt that the benefits of how I felt far outweighed anything else that I got from doing it.

It is not all that difficult to do the diet, provided you are determined that you’re going to stick with it for the long term.  What you’re going to need is to fix yourself a drink which consists of 8 ounces of cold water, two tablespoons of fresh squeezed lemon juice, two tablespoons of raw organic maple syrup and a large pinch of cayenne pepper.  You can drink this drink up to 12 times in a day and provided you space it out properly, hunger should not be a real issue.  The only other thing that you’re going to be able to have on the lemonade diet is a saltwater flush in the morning and a cup of laxative tea in the evening.

Most people are not really prepared well in order to accept what the lemonade diet is going to be able to bring to them.  It helps if you begin to prepare your body for it a week or two in advance by cutting back on the amount of coffee that you drink and the amount of sugar that you are eating.  This will help to reduce your negative side effects and withdrawal symptoms to a minimum.

Over the course of time while you’re doing the lemonade diet, the weight will steadily come off of you and you will begin to feel good from the inside out.  The real key to doing this diet, however, is making sure that you maintain a healthy diet once it is concluded.  In doing so, you will ensure that any weight loss that you achieved during the course of the diet will be with you for a very long time.

What Can the Body Mass Index Formula Tell You?

If you are interested in checking your overall health, there are a number of different ways that you can do this that range from checking your vitals at the doctor’s office to checking your body mass index.  If you’re interested in the latter, the only way that you are going to be able to do that is by using the body mass index formula.  This particular formula was conceived in order to give people an overall general idea about their health.  It is not going to tell you everything that you need to know about your health but it will give you an idea as to whether you need to lose some weight or perhaps gain some in order to be healthy according to the average.

The difficult thing is, the body mass index formula is a rather long algebraic formula that is difficult to put down in the scope of this article.  Most people would have a difficult time formulating the answer to this by plugging in the information, simply because of the complexity of the formula itself.  Fortunately, it is never really necessary for you to know the formula as there are plenty of places where you can plug the information in, click a button and then get your body mass index immediately.

I did a quick search on Google in order to find out how many websites were offering this and I ended up receiving well over one million results.  As it turns out, the body mass index formula is plugged into several scripts that are easy to place on these websites.  Most of them come in a fairly easy form where you would enter information such as your weight, age, height and overall build.  After clicking a button, you will be taken to a second page where the body mass index numbers are calculated.  Typically, you would also be given the opportunity to buy some kind of weight loss product on this page as well.

If you are interested in keeping an eye on your body mass index, you might also be interested in knowing that it is not always going to be applicable in every case.  For example, you may be considered healthy with a body fat percentage of somewhere around 20% but if you were competing in the weightlifting field, your body fat percentage may be much lower than this.  Even so, the body mass index will give you an overall idea of your general health and weight.

All of us struggle sometimes with our weight and it can be difficult to get the body mass index numbers into the good range.  By going on a reasonable diet and exercise program, however come you can begin dropping weight at a steady pace and soon you will see your body mass index numbers begin to drop right along with it.  Stick with the course for the long term and you will see some healthy numbers for yourself quickly.
